A wonderful story about the life of an artist. Readers will be engaged in facts about the past and evolution. Character education and addresses the determination and hard work will keep you dreams alive.Benjamin Waterhouse Hawkins grew up sketching the world around him but his specialty was sketching different animals. When he has a young man he found his real desire which is sculpting and making his sketches alive. With his hard work seems like all of his works has come alive. Waterhouse has a exciting project which is building dinosaurs. Scientist discovered bones and fossils of dinosaurs but Waterhouse is making them alive. So he worked hard, planning and building eager to captivate the hearts of his fellow men but most of all the Queen and snobbish Scientists. When his work is finished he showed to the public and everybody was astonished, his fame even reached America. He went to New York City dedicated to build just like when he was in London. He filled halls talking about dinosaurs, dragons and evolution. He was about to build a museum in New York but there was a corrupt official named William Tweed. So he left New York and built his dinosaurs in Princeton New Jersey and Washington DC. He went back to England with happiness and old age.
A great book for students to learn who did the first dinasoaur sculpture and have a connection on their favarite dinasaur toys.

Chicken Sunday

Chicken Sunday by Patricia Polacco
The book is really interesting. The book is about 3 children who wanted to buy Miss Eula a beautiful Easter hat. However, they didn't have enough money to buy the hat. They decided they will work for Mr. Kodinski's shop in exchange for the hat. When they went in the shop, they were accussed of throwing eggs at Mr. Kodinski. They taught ways on how to prove their innocence and found way too buy the hat too.

This is a good book to teach children respect, love, honesty and hard work.
